Like with How To Get Away With Murder, ABC’s Scandal is back from its mid-season break. And for me that means more politics, more intrigues and more drama. This is one of my absolute favorite shows of all time, and I am for sure tuning in for a #TGIT night in 3 day’s time.
A quick sum-up off of the show: Its about Olivia Pope, a former White House Communications Director, who starts her own crisis management firm. However, she soon realizes that she, as her clients, has secrets to hide. Skipping a few seasons ahead to the mid-season premiere, miss Pope has to adjust to life as the soon to be next First Lady. However, she is having a harder time than expected to keep on her White Hat aka playing fair in the game of politics, and as show in the intriguing promo, it will come off!
For me, Scandal is the equivalent of Netflix’ House of Cards. And I know a lot of people would highly disagree, because of the extreme drama, Huck’s and Quinn’s murder tendencies, and yeah, down right over the top-storyline. But what can I say, I’m addicted. I can’t get over how amazing Kerry Washington is in the role, and she is definitely the reason why I keep coming back for more. Even when the show takes it a step too far with kidnappings, child murders, and general all ridicules kind of murders happening on the show, this show keeps being a personal favorite of mine.
